Path in the cup

Thinner and more winding than a road, a path in the grounds leads toward something personal — a step you take alone, without company and without an audience. It often announces a quiet search: a new skill, a return to an old interest, a decision you aren't yet saying aloud. The closer it is to the bottom of the cup, the deeper the search and the less it depends on anyone else's opinion.

Position changes the tone: nearer the rim speaks of what is close, nearer the bottom of what is further off; a clearer shape speaks louder than a faint one.
