Face in the cup

A profile outlined in the grounds, forehead and nose in one line, always points to a specific person — the one who comes to mind first. A smiling face announces reconciliation or good news from their direction. A frowning one asks you to wait before answering. Turned toward the bottom, the face belongs to someone from the past.

Position changes the tone: nearer the rim speaks of what is close, nearer the bottom of what is further off; a clearer shape speaks louder than a faint one.
