Eye in the cup

An eye in the cup means you're being noticed. Someone is watching what you do — with warmth if the shape is soft and clear, with calculation if it's sharp and elongated. A wide-open eye brings protection and watchfulness; a narrowed one calls for discretion. Sometimes it is your own gaze, finally seeing what it has long avoided.

Position changes the tone: nearer the rim speaks of what is close, nearer the bottom of what is further off; a clearer shape speaks louder than a faint one.
