Dots in the cup

Dots are small things piling up: bills, messages, minor errands, days that resemble one another. Densely packed, they speak of an abundance still being counted; scattered, of divided attention worth gathering back up. A row of dots leading toward the rim usually follows a road — something is moving toward you, step by step.

Position changes the tone: nearer the rim speaks of what is close, nearer the bottom of what is further off; a clearer shape speaks louder than a faint one.
