Horse in the cup

A horse promises movement: a journey, a move, news that lifts you out of your chair. At a gallop, it means things have already been set in motion and are carrying you faster than you chose yourself. A calm horse hints at strength waiting to be used. Near the rim of the cup, the change is close and brief.

Position changes the tone: nearer the rim speaks of what is close, nearer the bottom of what is further off; a clearer shape speaks louder than a faint one.
